Giles scores Top-10 in Red Farmer Tribute at Talladega with Crate Racin' USA
Ty Giles took part in a busy weekend at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) as he competed in the Crate Racin' USA portion of the Red Farmer Tribute.
With a whopping 52 Late Models checked in on Friday evening, Giles laid down the 15th-fastest lap in his qualifying group before making up two positions in his heat race. Rolling off 21st in the short 37-lap feature, Ty gained eight spots to land a 13th-place finish.
For another complete show on Saturday, Ty earned a feature starting position after nabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race. In the extended 60-lap main event, Giles charged inside the Top-10 and recorded a ninth-place outing.
