Powell Family Memorial brings Giles to All-Tech Raceway
Taking a stab at some Crate Racin' USA competition, Ty Giles unloaded his KS Concrete No. 10G at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Friday afternoon for night one of the 28th-annual Powell Family Memorial.
With a whopping 85 Late Models checked in, Giles clocked in third-fastest in his group which landed him a second row starting position in his heat. Falling to fourth early in the heat, Ty regained the third spot when the checkered flag flew.
With the $28,000-to-win finale slated for Saturday, Ty needed a Top-2 finish in his B-Main to qualify for the 67-lap main event. Starting on the pole for his last chance race, Giles brought home a sixth-place outing.
